RIP: ALAO- AKALA Friends, Supporters and Followers Mourns, Hold Candlelight in Ogbomoso

THOUSANDS of people gathered at Randa Alao Akala Resident in Ogbomoso, on Wednesday between 2 and 4 p.m. for a candlelight night in memory of former Governor, Alao-Akala.


Politicians, activists, journalists, civil society actors, and well-wishers were among those who attended the candlelight gathering, which was organized by the "Akala and Beyond group" and themed the walk and candle procession "Akala and Beyond."

Various people read tributes while signing a condolence register. Following the prayer for the deceased family, a candlelight procession was held.

The InsideOgbomosonews has provided a collection of images from the event, recall that Alao-Akala Died at age 71, while speaking to our correspondence, Mr Segun one of the followers and supporters of Alao-Akala says, " We are not just mourning but giving a befitting honor to respect and dignify our late hero Otunba Alao Akala, you can see we all come together across partys and as a community, we mourn as one" that is what Akala lived for".
