BREAKING: Oyo State APC Chairman, Omodewu is Dead

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been thrown into mourning following the passing of its chairman, Barrister Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu. He died in the early hours of Monday, August 19, 2024, in the United States after a prolonged battle with illness. He was 61 years old.
Omodewu, a native of Otu in Itesiwaju local government area of Oke-Ogun geo-political zone, was elected as the APC chairman in 2021. He had a distinguished political career, serving as a former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, as well as Commissioner for Lands and Housing under the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi's administration.

In a remarkable feat, Omodewu had recently completed his law degree and law school, demonstrating his commitment to personal growth and development.

His demise comes as a shock to the political community, particularly in Oyo State, where he was a respected figure. This loss occurs just a month after the passing of Musiliudeen Akinremi, a two-term member of the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency.

The APC and the people of Oyo State in last few years have mourn past governors, Adebayo Alao-Akala, Abiola Ajimobi, The wife of Sen Folarin Angela, Incumbent House of Reps member, Hon Akiremi Jagaban, Ogbomoso APC Chairman Pa Agunyanmole, and host of others. May their soul rest in peace
