Your selection as the new soun of Ogbomosoland is a testament to your divine ordination, your outstanding leadership qualities, unwavering commitment to the development of our people at home and abroad, and your deep understanding of leadership as demonstrated by your forefathers.

 Your selection is the right choice to occupy the ancient throne of Ogbomoso, and I have no doubt that you will discharge your responsibilities with great wisdom and integrity, just as your great forebears had all displayed.

As a man of many abilities, capacity, and vision, I am confident that you will bring positive changes to Ogbomosoland during your tenure. The final programme outline for the official coronation ceremony of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, has been released. In a devastating incident, a yet-to-be confirmed number of 500-level Accounting students from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, lost their lives in a fatal accident while returning from an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, September 27, as the students were making their way back from the excursion. The ill-fated bus carrying the students was involved in an accident that resulted in a fire outbreak along the Ilobu-Okinni-Osogbo road in Osun State.
