Ogbomoso, Nigeria - The Celestial Church of Christ bid a final farewell to one of its most revered leaders, Prophet Moses Oyeyanju Oyegbami, who passed away at the age of 81. The Shepherd in Charge of Ikeja 1 Cathedral was interred in his hometown of Ogbomoso on Friday, August 16, 2024.
Prophet Oyegbami, a prince from the Oluoje Onpetu royal house of Ogbomoso, was celebrated for his dedicated service to the church and his community. His final rites began on Monday, August 13, with a Celebration of Life and Tributes, followed by a Candlelight Procession and Musical Night.

A Service of Songs was held on Tuesday, and a Christian Wake Service took place on Thursday, with the cream of the Celestial Church of Christ in attendance from all over the country. The outpouring of tributes and condolences was a testament to Prophet Oyegbami's impact on the lives of many.
His legacy will be deeply missed, but his contributions to the church and the community will continue to inspire generations to come. May his soul rest in peace.
