Statement read thus:
 Ogbomoso Progressive Youths (OPY), an umbrella for APC Youths in Ogbomoso zone which cut across the five local government wished to commend the reconciliation team led by Sen. Olufemi Lanleyin for their reconciliatory work in the state and especially in Ogbomoso zone. 

 We are confident that all the recommendations received will be implemented as soon as possible before electioneering campaign in September.

   As an organization for Youths, we wish to commend our leaders in the zone : Hon. Sunday Dare, the Minister for Youths and Sports; Sen. Fatai Buhari, the Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District and Hon. Segun Odebunmi, the member representing Ogo Oluwa and Surulere Federal Constituency and others who made the reconciliation efforts in the zone a success.

Fire Accident Claims Lives of LAUTECH Final Year Students on Excursion

In a devastating incident, a yet-to-be confirmed number of 500-level Accounting students from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, lost their lives in a fatal accident while returning from an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, September 27, as the students were making their way back from the excursion. The ill-fated bus carrying the students was involved in an accident that resulted in a fire outbreak along the Ilobu-Okinni-Osogbo road in Osun State.
