Plateau Killings: FOSSU Commend Oyo Gov't, Over Members Evacuation From Unijos ||InsideOgbomosonews

The National Council of Federation of Oyo State Students Union (FOSSU National) in the statement sent to our media outlets, signed by the national fossu president com Azeez Muritala Olowoeko, the secretary and p.r.o has commented on the recent attack as it is disheartening unfortunate and injurious to humanity. 

However, the union in her efforts to prioritize the well being of members has facilitated the evacuation of Oyo State Students schooling in Unijos through the Office of Special Assistant to the Oyo State Governor on Students Affairs on 23rd of August, 2021.

Following the recent attack on travelers at Jos North Local Government area of Plateau state where commercial and private cars were attacked by hoodlums  leading  to the deaths of many. We have received the outcry of our members schooling in university of Jos as actions and reactions from quaters has generated crisis leading to community unrest.

The National President while addressing the press lauds  the responsiveness of Oyo SA Student for his prompt response and the arrangement to bring our members back home safely. He appreciated the students populace particularly Oyo State Students in UNIJOS for the confidence they had in the leadership of FOSSU.

Conclusively, the president reassure members on the  commitment of FOSSU National towards ensuring our members are safe across campuses.

Fire Accident Claims Lives of LAUTECH Final Year Students on Excursion

In a devastating incident, a yet-to-be confirmed number of 500-level Accounting students from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, lost their lives in a fatal accident while returning from an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, September 27, as the students were making their way back from the excursion.
