OGBOMOSO: Chief Imam Asked To Step Aside, Religion Groups Kicks

The Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomosoland Sheik Teliat Yinus Ayilara has been asked to step aside, This order was contained in a letter addressed to him by the Soun-in-Council and signed by the apex chief of the council who also is the chairman of the soun in council.  High Chief Sobalaje Otolorin, Areago of Ogbomosoland.

The council in their letter conveying his removal Titled: Resolution by Soun-in-Council and other traditional title holders in Ogbomosoland on Imam Teliat Yinus Olushina Ayilara the Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomosoland,” States that the traditional council hinged it's decision on the controversies generated over his true identity of the Ayilara house or of the compound sections that produces chief Imam, The council also noted it had received lots of petitions on the matter from the League of Imams and Alfas, various Muslim organizations and from the Ayilara family protesting his holding on to the office.
However, several Islamic groups and pro Teliat have protested his removals by writing a strong worded petition to stakeholders and security outfits, expressing that the soun-in-council lacks power for the removal and empathically sending a strong warning to Aare-aago to stay clear the religion dispute.
InsideOgbomosonews correspondence also lay hands on a caution letter sent to by the executive chairman of Ogbomoso north local government area, Hon. Kabir Ayoade, where he pleaded for cautions on the complicated matter, noting the possibility of breakdown of laws and others, by asking the aggrieved parties to seek redress from a competent court of law.
In the heat of the battle, Ogbomoso Muslim Justice Forum (OMJF) was formed by among others Alhaji Zubair Muhammad Tawfiq (Lobanika compound).

A source which pleaded anonymity, told our correspondence that the Chief Imam Teliat Yinus Ayilara is not bothered, he still goes to his office and performs his religion duties. 

At the time of filling this reports every attempt to get a response from himself or aides proves abortive. truly it is a trying period in Ogbomoso but perhaps by this decision of the Soun-in-Council the crisis may be micromanage
