Sport Minister, Sunday Dare Bags Chieftaincy Title In President Buhari's Hometown Daura.

Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Sunday Dare will on Thursday,  December 22, be conferred with the prestigious chieftaincy title of Seriki Wasanni ( King/Leader of Games) by the Daura Emirate Council led by the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar.

The historic event which will be held at the Emir's palace in Daura, will attract people from all walks of life including top government functionaries, politicians, the diplomatic community and the organized private sector.

Dare, who had received numerous awards both locally and internationally for his outstanding accomplishments in grassroots sports and youth development is known to be a high detrabilized Nigerian who has continually built and sustained relationships across the nooks and crannies of Nigeria.

The Minister recently inaugurated Daura township stadium and other sports initiatives, Recognising the achievements and contributions of the Minister to nationhood,  the honour will inspire Dare to sustain his remarkable legacies and good deeds in all facets of life.

Fire Accident Claims Lives of LAUTECH Final Year Students on Excursion

In a devastating incident, a yet-to-be confirmed number of 500-level Accounting students from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, lost their lives in a fatal accident while returning from an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, September 27, as the students were making their way back from the excursion. The ill-fated bus carrying the students was involved in an accident that resulted in a fire outbreak along the Ilobu-Okinni-Osogbo road in Osun State.
