PHOTOS: Hon. Sunday Dare Receives, Tinubu At Ogbomoso, Over Demise Of Alao-Akala and Soun.

The Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Sunday Dare received the  National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ogbomoso today, 15th day of January 2022.

The APC chieftain, Asiwaju Tinubu's chopper touched down at Ogbomoso Grammar School, at about 12 pm, where he was received by Minister Sunday Dare and other party stalwarts across Ogbomoso Zone.


The Agbaakin of Ogbomosoland later led Asiwaju Tinubu to the Palace of Sọun of Ogbomosoland, to commiserate with the family of late Ọba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, who joined his ancestors on 12th December 2021, and proceed with the entourages to Opadoyin's Akala Lodge, to commiserate with the family of Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, who died on the 12th day of January 2022.

In his statement, " I am here to commiserate the  death of my brother, Former Gov Christopher Alao-Akala, and the Soun of Ogbomoso whom I have a cordial relationship with, Akala's passing comes at a time when Oyo State needs his enormous experience.

He was a collaborator and a political ally whose political principles fit with my aspirations for the Southwest's growth and development."

Present at the visit, are Gov Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, Hon. Skimeh Akeem Adeyemi, Chief Akin Oke, Senator Ayo Adeseun, Baba Abu Gbadamosi, Rt.Hon James Faleke, Hon. Jacob Ajao, Hon Bimbo Kolade, and other APC stalwarts.


Asiwaju later left for Ibadanland, in his bid to register his condolence at the palace of Olubadan, over the demise of Ọba Saliu Adetunji Ajeoguguniso 1, who also joined his ancestors on the 2nd day of January 2022.

The final programme outline for the official coronation ceremony of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, has been released. Fire Accident Claims Lives of LAUTECH Final Year Students on Excursion

In a devastating incident, a yet-to-be confirmed number of 500-level Accounting students from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, lost their lives in a fatal accident while returning from an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State.
