The golf section of Ogbomoso Recreation club, on Saturday August 14,commiserate and observe a one year remembrance of Chief Ademola Dare-Williams, who until his death was a philanthropist of Note,Member Of Ogbomoso Recreation club,Ogbomoso socialite club, Lagos Country club, and the immediate past President of O'first group.

Dr Samson Adegoke Maigida who commissioned the built Pavillion along side with Mrs Dare-Williams told the recreation club members during the commissioning, that Chief Dare williams is a man of unprecedented achievements who in his capacity has influenced alot of developmental strides to the body, and will not be forgotten.

The Memorial event was graced by High personalities such Olusegun Adekunle, former permanent secretary, general services in the office of the SGF, who also is the NEITI board chairman, Chief Samson Adegoke Maigida, Professor Ajao, Professor Oladipupo, Mr Isaac Ojo, Ogbomosho Gulfers, Recreation club members, Deceased family amongst others.

The final programme outline for the official coronation ceremony of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, has been released. Fire Accident Claims Lives of LAUTECH Final Year Students on Excursion

In a devastating incident, a yet-to-be confirmed number of 500-level Accounting students from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, lost their lives in a fatal accident while returning from an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, September 27, as the students were making their way back from the excursion. The ill-fated bus carrying the students was involved in an accident that resulted in a fire outbreak along the Ilobu-Okinni-Osogbo road in Osun State.
