Hon. Shittu Olaitan AbdulFatah, popularly known as Ọmọabede - Ire-Akari, has officially emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ogbomoso North State Constituency seat in the forthcoming general election for Oyo State House of Assembly.
His emergence was confirmed following the publication of the party's official list of candidates across the state. The list also includes other APC flagbearers who emerge at the primaries to represent their respective constituencies in the next electoral cycle.
A bonafide native of Ogbomoso, Hon. Shittu is widely known within local political circles and beyond and has been actively involved in grassroots political engagement. "Supporters describe him as a young and energetic politician with a strong understanding of contemporary issues affecting youths and the wider community".
Following the announcement, Ọmọabede expressed appreciation to party leaders, members, and supporters for their confidence in his candidacy. He also called on fellow aspirants who also showed interest in the primaries seeking the the party's ticket to remain committed to the APC and work together in the interest of the party.
According to him, "unity, reconciliation, and collective effort will be crucial as the party prepares for the general election. He urged party members to maintain the spirit of sportsmanship and focus on strengthening the APC's position ahead of the elections.
