Chief Sunday Dare Visit Soun Ogbomoso, Monarch Eulogies Dare's Contribution to Ogbomoso Development

Chief Sunday Dare, the former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, paid a congratulatory visit to the new Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye, Orumogege III, at his aafin Ogbomoso. He was accompanied by his wife, Yeye Agbaakin Olukemi Dare and host of others.

During the visit, Chief Dare congratulated the new King and expressed his confidence in his ability to bring prosperity and development to Ogbomoso land. He also promised to continue his efforts in facilitating development projects and federal and other opportunities for the people of Ogbomoso.

In his words "Kabiesi O, your Imperial Majesty Oba Afolabi Ghandi Laoye Orumogege III, the Soun of ogbomosoland by God's grace. I, Sunday Akinlabi Dare by the grace of God one of your High Chiefs with my wife Yeye Agbaakin Olukemi Dare are here today 9th October, 2023 to pay a well deserved homage to your imperial majesty as you ascend the throne of your forebears. 
The history of ogbomoso is a powerful and rich one. Your ascension to the throne of your forebears is an honour well deserved. I am confident in your capability to deliver on the mandate of the office and usher in prosperity and a peaceful reign to the people of ogbomosoland. The people of Ogbomosoland have made a great choice and will not regret the decision by God's grace. As a Minister from 2019-2023. I contributed my quota and did my best. However we will support you and I will do more for ogbomosoland under your watch. I wish you Kabiesi long life, decades of prosperous reign to the glory of God and the father , Kabiesi o". Chief Dare said."

The former minister also thanked the Executive Governor of Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde , and the Kingmakers for ensuring a peaceful selection process of the new King. He also commended the new monarch for using his wisdom and diplomacy to resolve issues in Ogbomosoland, Oyo state, and Nigeria as a whole.

In response, Oba Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III expressed his gratitude and pour encomium on Chief Dare for his outstanding contributions to the development of Ogbomosoland. He also called on other sons and daughters of Ogbomosoland to emulate the Agbaakin, the former minister.
The Onitara of taraa Ogbomosoland, Alhaji Kilani Oyedeji, also praised Chief Dare for his responsible nature and highlighted his various contributions to the community. Radio presenter Oluwatano Ojo, also known as "Omo Iya Alabo", shared that he has recorded a tape for the former minister which will be released soon. 

Onipakiotan of Pakiotan Ogbomoso, also pour encomium saying the people of Pakiotan community and in extension to Ogbomoso at large are grateful to Chief Dare for the 80-bed specialist hospital constructed at Pakiotan. He also added that this medical facility that will employ over 100 medical personnels will soon be approve as a federal medical center for referers.

The entourage of Chief Dare included veteran hip-hop artist abolore 9ice, Hon (Prince) Ajiboye A.O, former chairman of Ogbomoso North local government, Hon Mantis Adebimpe, former chairperson of Ogbomoso North local government, Hon Akinwole Wolekanle, former senatorial candidate for Oyo North, Mr Bayo Oloriebi (Amole Water), Barrister Daud Suleiman, former chairman of Ogbomoso North LCDA, and Hon Shittu, former chairman of Iseyin Local Government. The monarch was impressed with Chief Dare's contributions and promised to continue working together for the development of Ogbomosoland.
