The Federation of Ogbomoso student union, uniabuja chapter made history yesterday by holding a seminar and investiture ceremony for her new patrons and matron. The event was attended by distinguished individuals who were recognized for their contributions to the development of their community.
OBA FRANCIS OLUSOLA ALAO, the OLUGBON OF ORILE IGBON, was made the life patron of the Association, while Hon Lanre OLATUNDE, Hon Sunday MAKANJUOLA, Hon Olamijuwonlo ALAO AKALA, ENGR Junaid Victor OLATUNJI, and Mr ADEGBOYEGA were made patrons of the Association. Hon Mrs Elizabeth oyedele was also made the matron of the Association.
In addition, Hon Oyelola Daniel OLUSAYO BIBIIRE, Arch Olaniyi, Otunba Bolaji ADIGUN, ENGR simeon Adesina, AMB AKIN OYATERU, Hon Moses OJO, Prof Samuel Olarenwaju, and chief Samson ADEGOKE were given the Ogbomoso Developmental Award for their contributions to the development of their community.
The event had a knowledge-based theme, "EXPECTATIONS OF YOUTH IN DEVELOPMENT OF OGBOMOSO LAND," and Dr Femi AKINTUNDE, the guest speaker, did justice to it. The event was attended by many people who came out to witness the historic occasion.
The Federation of Ogbomoso student union uniabuja chapter is a student-led organization that aims to promote the welfare and development of its members and the town at large. The organization has been active in various community service projects.
Thie event was not just a celebration of the new patrons and matron but also an opportunity to discuss the challenges facing the youth in the development of Ogbomosoland.
