Minister Sunday Dare Commissioned 80-Bed Mother-Child Hospital In Ogbomoso, Reinstate Commitment To Improving Lives

The Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development Chief Sunday Dare has commissioned an 80 Bed Mother-Child Hospital and Maternity in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. The fully equipped hospital is aimed at delivering quality healthcare for women and reducing maternal, neonatal, and infant mortality rates in the area.

The multi-billion naira project was facilitated by the Honourable Minister himself, who is passionate about improving lives. The hospital will be handed over to the Federal University Teaching/College Hospital Ibadan.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Honourable Minister expressed his gratitude to all those who made the project a reality. He thanked the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, and the Chief Medical Director of University College Hospital for their contributions in making the project a reality.

The 80 bed mother and child hospital is fully equipped with several facilities and equipment to provide quality healthcare services to women and children in Ogbomoso and its environs. The hospital will offer a range of services including antenatal care, postnatal care, family planning, and emergency obstetric care.

The commissioning of the hospital is a significant milestone in the efforts to improve healthcare in Nigeria, particularly for rural areas surrounding Ogbomoso where access to quality healthcare is limited. The Honourable Minister's commitment to reducing maternal, neonatal, and infant mortality rates is commendable, and this project is a testament to his dedication to improving the lives of our women.
