Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala Wins Primary, Assures Constituents of Quality Representation - InsideOgbomosonews

The former chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala has reiterated his determination to ensure his constituents are beneficiaries of quality and robust representation when elected into office as a member of the House of Representatives in the forthcoming general election. 

He stated this on Friday, shortly after he was declared as the consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ogbomoso North/South/Oriire Federal Constituency.

In his speech, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala expressed gratitude to the party leaders and other contestants for believing in his capacity to serve the constituency, assuring that he will not betray the confidence reposed in him. He said: "My victory is the will of God translated through the genial gestures of my co-contenders who have chosen to step down their ambitions for my emergence.

This would not have been possible without the trust and commitment of party leaders and members across the three local governments of our constituency. Securing the ticket to bear the flag of this great party is a privileged feat that comes with huge responsibilities. While I take an absolute delight in this victory, I am also consciously reminded of the need to work assiduously to ensure the realization of all our promises.

"This marks the start of our journey aimed at repositioning the constituency for infrastructural development, quality healthcare and creation of employment opportunities. We would continue to communicate our laudable ideas and plans to the constituents ahead of the 2023 polls, and I am hopeful of their genuine support.

"It is imperative to ease the path of this constituency into a prosperous future that is characterized by robust human and capital development. Being a grassroots politician, I am in tune with the yearnings of the populace, and I possess the requisite knowledge of their needs which have been designed into a viable blueprint that would drive an effective representation. With my commitment to sponsoring bills and motions that would impact the lives of our people, I have no doubt that this constituency is on the verge of recording landmark achievements and giant  milestones." 

While appreciating the strength of unity displayed by Hon. Isaac Aremu Bibiire, Hon. Toyin Abeleje, Hon.Opeyemi Onabanjo Fehintola, Hon. Prince Olakanmi Adepoju and Hon. Olatunji Aderogba who willingly relinquished their ambitions, Hon. Olamijuwonlo noted that he is willing to work with all the stakeholders to lead the party to victory in 2023, he added.

In a devastating incident, a yet-to-be confirmed number of 500-level Accounting students from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, lost their lives in a fatal accident while returning from an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State.
