Ogbomoso Progressive Youths Holds Maiden General Meeting, Set To Host Thousands -OPY

Ahead of the 2023 elections and in the realization of the need for increased participation of youths in political and governance processes in Ogbomoso, the foremost group mobilizing support for All Candidates from  All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogbomoso zone, is holding her inaugural and maiden general meeting in Ogbomoso, JODEB event Center on 24th of September,2022.

The themed: “Reasons for political mobilization and sensitization for All APC candidates in Ogbomoso zone", will hold at JODEB event Centre  adjacent Christ Zion Prayer Ministry, Maryland Ogbomoso, Oyo state.


Notable Individuals expected at the event are the Senatorial candidate of the APC in the zone, Sen. Abdulfatai Buhari. P.hd, Hon. Yinus Akintunde, Hon. Segun Odebunmi Bunvic, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, Hon. Joshua Bamigboye, Hon. Wumi Oladeji, Hon.Adegoke Ayodeji Maigida, Hon. Olusayo Afolabi, The Oyo state APC Youth Leader, Hon. John Oyetunji Aremu, Party Chairmen and Political stakeholders across the 5LGAs.

According to Hon. Sola Kolawole, a member of the planning committee saddled with the responsibility of organizing and planning , "The general meeting is to sensitize and mobilize our youths for the upcoming election, working synergically to deliver all our contestants for APC in Ogbomoso zone and re-awakening their responsiveness to politics, to canvass and vote in mass come 2023.

The event kicks off at 10 am with the arrival of guests and red carpet activities.

The final programme outline for the official coronation ceremony of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, has been released. Fire Accident Claims Lives of LAUTECH Final Year Students on Excursion

In a devastating incident, a yet-to-be confirmed number of 500-level Accounting students from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, lost their lives in a fatal accident while returning from an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, September 27, as the students were making their way back from the excursion. The ill-fated bus carrying the students was involved in an accident that resulted in a fire outbreak along the Ilobu-Okinni-Osogbo road in Osun State.
