He’s Axed, Not That He Resigned, Ogbomoso Parapo Reacts To Saka Bello’s Resignation

Sequel to the resignation of Alhaji Saka Aremole Bello as national vice president of Egbe Omo Ogbomoso Parapo Agbaaye Tuesday, reported by our correspondence, the socio-cultural organization has come out to state that he only tried to be clever by half.

According to findings Saka Bello who doubled as the chairman home zone was already axed Friday, August 26, during a national executive committee meeting held in Ogbomoso due to various infractions leveled against him, which a panel set up to investigate found him grossly culpable of.

It was suggested that he probably got wind of the decision against him “and that was why he moved fast to dubiously resigned,” a source close to the association told ogbomosoinsightonline.com.

The source continued, “He did not resign but was removed not only as a member of the association but as an executive member. We gave him window of grace to resign but he thought he could muzzle his way and wriggle out but the allegations against him were too weighty. He was found guilty of the infractions by the panel set up to investigate him, a decision ratified by the whole executive committee members on Friday. Saying that he resigned honourably was being clever by the half.”

In a press release made available to heads of media organizations, a copy of which was made available to our correspondence, signed by President and Acting General Secretary of the socio-cultural organization, Hon Justice Afolabi Adeniran (rtd) and Comrade T.M. Balogun respectively, the removal of Saka Bello was indubitably affirmed.

The release states: “This is to inform the general public, in particular all citizens of Ogbomosoland that, Alh. (Chief) Saka Bello Aremola is no longer a member of Egbe Omo Ogbomoso parapo Agbaaye due to various acts of misconducts which were throughly investigated and found established by the panel set up by the organization.

“He has also consequently been removed as the 2nd vice president, as well as the chairman of the Home Zone (Ogbomosoland) of the Organisation.

“You are all enjoined henceforth not to deal with him in any matter whatsoever relating to Egbe Omo Ogbomoso Parapo Agbaye.”
