Hon (Capt) Jacob Ajaó Adejumo MHR, in a statement of condolence to the press at Aafin Ogbomoso, said the demise of His Imperial Majesty (Oba) Oladunni Oyewunmi Ajagungbade III of Ogbomosoland, at this time was indeed a great loss not only to Ogbomoso traditional council but to the people of his Constituency and government of Oyo state as well as Nigeria at large.

Hon Ajao, the lawmaker representing Ogbomoso north, south and oriire federal constituency, at the 9th assembly, described the late monarch as a highly respected monarch, and a visionary leader whose 48-years reign on throne helped in promoting unity and peace in Ogbomosoland, as well as attracting significant development and progress to his people.

"Baba will be greatly missed and the vacuum left behind is huge, because he's an epitome of peace and a father for all", Ajaó submitted.

In a devastating incident, a yet-to-be confirmed number of 500-level Accounting students from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, lost their lives in a fatal accident while returning from an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State.
