Fogsu National Organises Student Summit, Lunches New Fogsu Logo.

The Federation of Ogbomoso Student Union Organises two-days Fogsu student summit, also lunches a new Fogsu national logo, the president speech and and logo unveiling statement sent to our correspondence read thus.


Good evening to all comrades and students present here and thank you for joining us at the two-day FOGSU Students Summit 2021 organize by the Federation of Ogbomoso Students Union National Council. I’m Sen. Adediran Abiodun Sunday (GCFN) pka Aaré Harbbey Score, (FOGSU National President '21). 

It is my pleasure to welcome all the eminent speakers, guests from different walks of life which are here to share there knowledge and vast experience with the student community today for the two-day FOGSU Student Summit 2021.
 
This is the first Students Summit in the history of our union which will be completely conducted on a digital platform in line with the social distancing norms due to COVID-19 pandemic where we will be launching officially the FOGSU BRANDED LOGO which will be of use officially as from today by all chapters and members of the union. With great delight I present to you the first of its kind “FOGSU National Students Summit 2021”. 

The Administration “Revolutionary Team” has been working endlessly to make Students of Ogbomoso great. Many achievements and agenda so far.

It’s my pleasure to walk you through the summit, introduce you to the speakers that have prepared today to share their knowledge and enhance our mental horizon. Today’s summit has about 257 participants and more participating from more than 100 institution across Nigeria and Diaspora, making this conference a truly national and global conference in spirit.

This conference was the first of its kind where people could enhance their knowledge and share a difference of opinion on a common platform. FOGSU Student Summit , the aim of this program is to enlighten us and build us to be proud Ogbomoso indigenes we are. we have three sectors that we will be considering in this summit; Academics, Health and Security.

Which we have invited three special and capable lecturers across each sectors. we are hoping this conference surpassed the various challenges that our education system has faced over the years and also adapted to the changing technological trends in the system.  

I will cajole us to pay attention and keep note of the important things as they lecture us, as the major outcome of this conference has always been the betterment of our students and I hope students participate in a large number and make this summit successful one also to those that couldn't make it to be on this platform Don't worry we will have other fogsu groups updated just find a means to be on any FOGSU NATIONAL Whatapp Platform. 

Once again I welcome everyone of us here tonight, as part of our activities to mark this first summit the first in history of FOGSU National Council we will be launching the FOGSU Branded Logo which will be of use officially as from today by all Chapter and the entire FOGSUITE.

By the power invoked upon me as the Grand Commander Federation of Ogbomoso Students Union National Council, I Sen. Adediran Abiodun Sunday (GCFN) pka Aaré Harbbey Score hereby declare this logo for official use as from today.

Last but not the least, I would like to thank all the participants, the union executive council, and entire FOGSUITE. I would like to conclude my speech by encouraging the participants to participate with an increasing number in all the activities and discussions through the digital platforms for the two days. I wish everyone a successful and fruitful summit.

SOUN: Committee Reels Out 6-Day Coronation Activities, Créme de la Créme to Storm Ogbomoso, 14th-19th December

The final programme outline for the official coronation ceremony of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, has been released. This was made known Tuesday (exactly two weeks to the grand finale in which the staff of office will be presented by the Oyo state governor Engr Seyi Makinde), during a World Press Conference at Ogbomoso Recreation Club, addressed by the chairman, central coronation planning committee, Professor Adeshola Adepoju, assisted by co-chairman, Air Vice Marshal Bolaji Adigun (rtd.) Who is the Akogun of Ogbomosoland and General Secretary, Rear Admiral Jacob Ajani (rtd.). Fire Accident Claims Lives of LAUTECH Final Year Students on Excursion

In a devastating incident, a yet-to-be confirmed number of 500-level Accounting students from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, lost their lives in a fatal accident while returning from an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, September 27, as the students were making their way back from the excursion. The ill-fated bus carrying the students was involved in an accident that resulted in a fire outbreak along the Ilobu-Okinni-Osogbo road in Osun State. The details surrounding the accident remain unclear at this time, leaving the university community and the affected families in a state of shock and grief.
