Ray of hope in Ogbomoso as Dr Paul Ajagbe Onirese, popularly known for his philanthropic act and his Onirese Free health treatment through his Onirese House foundation doles out over N2million scholarship, as a succour for indigent students in ogbomoso across tertiary institutions, InsideOgbomosonews gathers.
Ajagbe, who disclosed the gesture, in a chat with our correspondence, said the scholarship programme, which has no political undertone, is part of his charity gesture under his Onirese House Foundation.

Lamenting the plight of indigent students dropping out of tertiary institutions owing to their parents’ inability to pay their tuition fees, Ajagbe said it was high time the well-to-do citizens rose up to the occasion.
The politician, who is a medical practitioner said, “ I do feel sad seeing our youths stopping their education at Secondary School level due to the inability of their parents to pay up their tution fees. Thus have resolved to give two students per ward in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area N50,000 to add up to their tuition fees.
Ajagbe also said the quest to assist the poor was the driving force in his aspiration to get elected as member of Oyo state House of assembly, a position he is vying for, for the first time.
“I wish to take the boys and girls roaming about the streets with no jobs, out of their plight by empowering them and setting up small-scale industries to absorb them. I also wish to institute a social welfare scheme to fend for the senior citizens and widows,”
