Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.
For me and many, we perceive that the exponential decision in No tuition No exam by LAUTECH Management will only crush the hope of Nigerian students most especially our own people Ogbomoso Indigene from acquiring education.
The fear is that if Lautech Management goes ahead with the implementation of the decision many will be affected.
Sir, I must commend your government for doing much in the educational sector of the state. Having you as governor of Oyo State has changed many stories of poor education in the state.
To draw the attention of youths to learning, you have made education free for the secondary and primary school students and also make a promise in reduction on the tuition fee for the Ladokites.
Truly, education in LAUTECH was repositioned to its past standard but the sudden implementation on No tuition No exam in the institution will not go well with the students who are surviving on their own or from a poor background.
The Government of Oyo has been awarding Scholarships to students which we request for scholarships for our students both Ladokite and Ogbomoso Indigene respectively.
Your excellency, you are a leader of purpose and focus, a leader for the poor, the rich and all. "Oyo State as a centre for learning, centre and heart of the South west nigeria; Oyo state being the pace setter state should lead in all facets of learning and to give good examples to other southern sister states.
Our governor, you have achieved a lot in making education prime and your superb ideas had tackled the menace of youth restlessness because of your laudable achievements in the education sector.
Sir, the proposed No tuition No exam are meant for the students while poor students should be considered and that is why as a student union leader of the entire Ogbomoso Students, I chose this medium to plead with you, on behalf of all the students who believe this implementation will crash their hopes and dreams, to have a second thought about the decision.
Also, Sir we requests that your excellency should do something on numerous letters that have been submitted to your office on the rehabilitation of Ogbomoso roads that has been damaged by the heavy truck which has been affecting the economy and movement in the town.
"We hope you will not relent in your effort of supporting education and Infrastructure at all levels in the state, and very importantly we pray to God to strengthen you to do more.
Thanks in advance Sir.
