An Ogbomoso born politician Shittu Olaitan Abede (SOA), fondly called IRE A'KARI has splashed N1million on Members of All Progressive Congress(APC) from Ogbomoso North Local Government of Oyo state through his foundation, Shittu Olaitan Foundation (SOF) as part of his Christmas and new year give away. Shittu who hails from Abogunde ward' 01 in Ogbomoso North LG, surprised 100 members of APC with a minimum of #10,000 each. His Imperial Majesty, the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, joined his ancestors.   Oba Oyewumi, described as a peace loving monarch, died at the ripe age of 95, In October 2020, Soun of Ogbomoso rejected N90m from Governor Seyi Makinde after some portions of his palace were destroyed by protesters. This acts in October 2020, warmed the hearts of many Nigerians when he rejected N100 million donated by Governor Seyi Makinde for the repair of portions of his palace that was damaged during an #EndSARS protest in Ogbomoso.  Some youths protesting against the killing of an #EndSARS protester, Isiaka Jimoh, had invaded the palace and damaged it.      Gov Makinde at Soun's palace, Ogbomoso Governor Seyi Makinde said the death of Oba Jimoh Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, is a great loss to the Oyo state. This, he said while noting that the deceased ruler made a lasting impact on his domain and indelible marks on Oyo State. In a condolence message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Taiwo Adisa, the governor described him as a quintessential oba, a man of peace and a passionate supporter of development. According to him, Oba Oyewunmi used his wealth of experience to develop Ogbomosoland over the past decades. The statement read in part; “I received the news of the passage unto the glory of our father, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, with shock. “Though Kabiyesi lived up to the age of 95, his death at this time is still a huge loss to the state and the traditional institution, because he has created a vacuum, not only in
