Official statement on Iwuye ceremony of Oba Ghandi Olaoye III released As tomorrow, Thursday September 14, marks the end of the seven-day seclusion rite of the new Soun of Ogbomosoland Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, there will be official public appearance of the monarch in accordance with tradition. The ceremony, according to a release by His Majesty’s media team, will involve royal parade from Ogbomoso High School to the palace at Oja’gbo. Various events have been lined up also at the palace including an interdenominational service, goodwill messages and invocation of prayers and blessings for the people and community. Among the programme personnel is Brother Gbile Akanni from Gboko, Benue state who incidentally is an indigene of Ogbomoso.
