Just In: Ghastly Accidents In Ogbomoso, 10 died, Many Injured  No fewer than 10 people died on Sunday afternoon in Ogbomoso NTA junction, after a heavy truck carrying a container fell on 18 seater bus coming from Ilorin. The ghastly accidents that claimed many lives leaving many with serious injuries happened at the overhead bridge construction sight that links northern Nigeria to Southern Nigeria at oke-baby Ogbomoso. Many passerby and sympathizer have pleaded with the federal government to come to their aid as the accident scene has recorded several accidents and claims numerous lives. Breaking: LAUTECH Named One Of The 10 Leading Universities In Nigeria.

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has again been named one of the 10th leading universities in Nigeria. Similarly, its position on the list also confirmed the institution’s ranking as the best state university in the country, the proclamation, which declared LAUTECH as among the 10th best university in Nigeria was made by the Times Higher Education (THE), after its assessment of 1,799 universities across 104 countries. Ibadan Camp Secured For Olympic Eagles By Dare's Ministry

                           Youth and Sport Minister, Sunday Dare The Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has secured a camping base for the U23 men’s national team, otherwise known as Olympic Eagles, ahead of the team’s Africa U23 Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against their Tanzanian counterparts this month.  Camping and prosecution of qualifying campaigns and tournaments of the U23 men and women teams for the Olympic Games and the African Games fall within the ambit of the Youth and Sports Development Ministry, but President of NFF, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau on Friday commended the Ministry for securing the camp as it will aid the preparation of the Olympic Eagles for their qualifying campaign.                                                  Advertisement Tanzania will host the first leg of the fixture in the weekend of 21st – 23rd October, with the return leg due in Nigeria on Saturday, 29th October. Late Mr. Gbenga Owolabi, the Ogbomoso born illustrious son, and a US citizen kidnapped and subsequently murdered along with two others in Abaa, Ogbomoso, by kidnappers has being committed to the mother earth today in United State. Recall Gbenga Owolabi was kidnapped at his hotel in Ogbomoso in August this year along with a female final year student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Rachael Opadele, working in the hostel.
